Job Description

McDermott Australia Pty Ltd (MAPL) is a wholly owned Australian subsidiary of MII, based in Perth & Melbourne.
MAPL is currently seeking applications for the newly created position of Project Procurement Manager to join our team based in Perth on an exciting $2.2B SURF project. We require someone who has strong experience in the offshore Oil & Gas construction industry who is confident in their role and can really own issues within their department for the betterment of the project. Reporting to the Regional Manager – Project Controls you will develop a supportable Procurement plan, manage staff, assist in preparation of budgets & forecasts and approve major purchase/award recommendations whilst adhering to project schedules, meeting quality requirements and client expectations.

Desired Skills & Experience

To be considered for this permanent position you will be required to have:
  • Degree or professional qualification in construction, engineering, quantity survey or business related field
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience in the offshore construction or petrochemical industry, out of which 5-8 years of experience must be in procurement/materials management including offshore procurement administration
  • Preferred experience in Subsea/SURF project
  • Large scale $$ project experience
  • Ability to travel as required
