ENGINEERING JOBS
Progressive Global Energy are seeking talented and career focused supplier quality engineers for some exciting new roles in the
central belt of Scotland.
The company are a leading global provider of technology solutions for the energy industry. The company currently stands as one of the World's Most Admired Oil and Gas Equipment, Service Company's in 2012, the Company has approximately 16,100 employees and operates 27 production facilities in 16 countries. The company Technologies designs, manufactures and services technologically sophisticated systems and products such as subsea production and processing systems, surface wellhead systems, high pressure fluid control equipment, measurement solutions, and marine loading systems for the oil and gas industry.
They are currently servicing some of the largest majors in the world on some of the most interesting and pivotal projects in the international oil and gas arena.
JOB ROLE:
Responsible for leading the performance associated with the overall Supplier Quality to ensure all suppliers create customer success.
Responsible for the improvement of the overall supply chain performance of assigned suppliers and their products. Ensure consistent and timely delivery to customer requirements, through effective supplier performance management
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES;
In cooperation with the sourcing team communicate with the assigned supply base their monthly performance indicators
Mentor suppliers on the company's requirements, procedures and processes. (eg; project quality plans, ITPs , MPQP, DBI's, traceability, etc?)
Participate in supplier kick off meetings with the customer and Product Quality Engineer as required by the Category Manager.
Work with the Category Managers to recommend supplier status change for improved performance or removal for under performance from the Global QSL.
Ensure tools, techniques, procedures and qualifications comply with API (American Petroleum Institute) and ISO (International Standards Organization) standards. Ensures that documents are updated when API & Engineering specifications are revised.
Entry Qualifications:
BS or MS in engineering field.
Knowledge of manufacturing (includes fabrications, machining, coating and welding), raw material processes and Non-Destructive testing.
Must have practical hands-on experience in Quality System Audit processes.
Must have good people skills, presentation skills and ability to train.
Possess good PC skills including knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software.
Maintain the ability to handle multiple tasks and changing priorities in a fast paced environment.
This is a fantastic position on so many fronts.
Full time and based in central Scotland.
The salary would be between 35 - 40k plus benefits.
