Senior Joint Venture Accountant - Operator - Perth - Contract
A new opportunity has arisen for a Senior Join Venture Accountant to join an expanding team in Perth. Working for the Operator of several projects and joint venture partner in others, the right candidate will have significant experience in the oil and gas industry, ideally with Australian projects. The team is small and will require someone who can fit in without causing disruption. This role will start as a 6 month contract and will either extend or convert to permanent after this period for the right candidate.
Role: This role involves a heavy element of cost control, cash call, management of the joint operating agreement, farm out agreements, AFE's and the maintenance of the balance sheet structure amongst other things.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in accounting or higher
- Minimum 8 years of work experience
- 5 years of experience in the resources sector (oil or gas)
- Financial background is desired but not essential
- CA or CPA (desired)
