Development Planner (Reservoir Engineering background) is urgently needed to fill a position in Houston,TX with one of the top super major oil and gas companies!

The candidate should have experience in the following to be considered for the role:
* The Development Planner will work with a multi-discipline team set up in the Technology Center
* Will be accountable to develop and maintain the central plan for all development activities for the ongoing Oil Shale assessment, appraisal and development activities
* Responsible for bringing global good practice and development planning expertise
* Must ensure appropriate capability development
* Must ensure necessary linkages to other groups (other Asset Teams, other R&D groups, Finance, C&P, etc.)
* Will contribute to or coordinate integrated project framing activities, strategy studies, scenario planning, concept screening and field development planning
* Expected to compile cost and schedule estimates, work with economists to conduct economic evaluations and support new business development activities
* Specific accountabilities include Development Planning, Executing Opportunity Realization Process, Assurance Plan Development and Coordination, Integrated Risk Management Plan, Business Plan Preparation, and Opportunity Valuation Tracking

Requirements:
* Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer
* Bachelors Degree in Earth Sciences, Engineering, Finance or relevant experience required
* Minimum of 10 years relevant work experience in Oil and Gas
* Good working knowledge of Planning principles and techniques
* Strong analytical skills
* Proficiency with the use of standard office software such as Excel, MS Word and PowerPoint
* Excellent written and oral communications skills
* Travel (domestic/international) may be required
