Environmental Coordinator/Sr. Environmental Coordinator This
company is over 120 years old and one of the largest exploration and
production companies in the Appalachia region. The Environmental
Coordinator supports the the company's Midstream and Production business
units to ensure environmental compliance with applicable laws,
regulations, and the company's internal policies and procedures, in West
Virginia:
* Oversee compliance activities associated with applicable air quality permits
* Coordinate Spill Control and Countermeasure (SPCC) program for approximately 1,500 natural gas production well and 50 compressor stations including plan management and re-certification, inspection program oversight, and training;
* Regularly gather data, perform calculations, and submit agency required documentation (e.g., Tier II, Air Emissions Inventories, DMRs, and UIC Certifications);
* Supports operations and recommends enhancement opportunities to improve environmental performance;
* Participates in new facility design evaluations;
* Responds to and manages environmental incidents such as spills, erosion control incidents, and emissions malfunctions, including clean-up and reporting;
* Conduct periodic site visits and facility inspections;
* Establish strong relationships with agency representatives and participate actively in relevant professional association committees;
* Remain current on environmental regulations and assist in the development of environmental procedures; and
* Collect and track trending statistics on environmental performance, prepare reports and presentations, and enter information into internal databases.
Required Skills
* Computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
* Analyzing data where the objective is to identify problems and issues
* Analyzing data where the objective is to supply information to others who will use it to develop recommendations and alternatives
* Responsible for designing new procedures, products and/or strategies
* Project management, writing policies, regulations, best practices, auditing policies, training
* Typing, filing and other recording information
* Compiling, checking and recording information

* Position requires the ability to travel in the WV region.
* Bachelor's degree in environmental sciences or a closely related field
* At least three years of experience which demonstrates a thorough understanding of Oil & Gas related environmental regulations and issues
* At least six years of experience to be considered for Sr. Coordinator role or an equivalent combination of education and experience
* Professional certifications or licensure (PG, PE, CHMM) preferred but not required
* Oil & Gas industry training and RCRA/DOT/HAZWOPER/Air Compliance training a plus
