Senior Structural Engineer required by service provider to the Oil & Gas industry based in Kuala Lumpur.
You will be involved in various projects in the offshore Oil & Gas industry and must have the following experience;
You will be involved in various projects in the offshore Oil & Gas industry and must have the following experience;
Engineering Degree in civil/ structural/ offshore engineering
Chartered or professional engineer status
Minimum 12 years experience in the design / appraisal of fixed offshore structures (jacket, topsides, etc)
Good understanding of structural engineering principles including finites element analysis (FEA), non-linear methods, dynamics and spectral fatigue and suitable analysis packages for these (SACS, Uffos, Ansys, etc)
Familiar with structural codes including API RP2A, ISO 19902, AISC
Familiarity with LR Rules for FOIFLs and MOUs an advantage
Good understanding of structural reliability techniques an advantage
