Power Generation - Mechanical Project Engineer - Power Plants

Are you a Project Engineer who started out as a Mechanical Engineer in the Power Generation industry?

The role is for an Engineerwith excellent hands-on knowledge of Power Plants and all the machinery that drives them. The ideal background is in Power Generation, Gas Turbines, Thermal or Hydro Power knowledge is an advantage, High pressure and High temperature pipingand flow regulation equipment.
Piping Engineering may have been your focus within the Plant or you may have leant more towards Gas Turbines – either specialty is fine as long as you also developed an understanding of the general mechanics in other areas.
The role is for a Mechanical Project Engineer to work in a team who troubleshoot and advise Plant owners and operators on how to solve their engineering and maintenance problems. For this reason you are creative, can adapt to every new situation as and when they arise, have strong communication skills and you able to run multiple projects at the same time.

You ideally have an RPEQ or wish to get one and you must have a Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering. Your Engineering experience is a minimum of 5 years and your Project Engineering/Management experience is the last 3 to 5 years – with a total required minimum of 10 years experience.

The position is in a stable team and the retention rate is high. Career progression is extensive as is training and diversity of work as every problem is different.
