DEFINITION:
Under general supervision, at the plant or in the field, makes difficult inspections or supervises employees in inspecting the fabrication, installation or testing of electrical material for electricgenerating and pumping plant structures; and to do other related work.
TYPICAL TASKS:
At project sites, leads the inspection of incoming shipments of electricalmaterial for quality, completeness, damage and conformance to plans and specifications and arranges for corrective work; inspects contractors' handling and storage of materials; inspects the installation, participates in acceptance tests and prepares field reports on installed electrical equipment. At vendor’s plant, inspects for quality, completeness and conformance to plans and specifications, a variety of electrical material during fabrication, manufacture or assembly.Typical electrical material includes generators, control boards, substations, conduit and lighting, systems, transformers, circuit breakers, motors and electrical components of air-conditioning and ventilating systems, oil and water handling system, cranes, hoists, electrical conductors, switchyard equipment and instrumentation systems.

KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge of: Methods, procedures, material, equipment and accepted safety practices used in the fabrication, manufacture, assembly and installation and testing of electrical material for electric generating and shopping centers, and other related structures; principles of effective supervision.

Ability to: Read and write English at a level successful job performance; lead a group of electricians or other disciplines; analyze and interpret plans and specifications; make technical inspections of electrical material for electric generating buildings or other related structures for conformance with specifications, and to identify and make recommendations as to necessary changes; inspect the installation and assist in start-up and testing operations for large electrical components of electric generating and pumping plants; work effectively with other inspectors and contractors' representatives; analyze situations accurately and take effective action; effectively contribute to the department's affirmative action objectives.

Responsibilities:
Reports to Supervisor Electrical in the field; should be able to perform assigned work with no direct supervision.
Review/interpret engineering drawings, specifications and other design documents; understand project design basis and contractual requirements; develop construction specifications, scope of work, estimates; prepare construction work packages; write daily and weekly construction reports; perform field walk downs/inspections to review the work for conformance with the design drawings, applicable codes/standards and company policies/procedures; prepare punchlist; red-line drawings to show as-build conditions; perform engineering activities to develop/complete design; prepare / answer Request for Information, Field Change Requests and Field Work Order Requests; good organizational skills; mentor young engineers; prepare/help in proposal preparation, cost estimation etc; proactively identify potential problems in the field; develop alternatives; arrive at optimum solution, means to mitigate problems; prepare presentations; make presentation to management/clients; work with construction QC to resolve any outstanding issue; should be able to set priorities for others; provide leadership, mentoring and guidance to younger engineers; good written and verbal communications skills; develop innovative solutions in line with business needs; apply expertise to develop new concepts, products, technologies; recommends best practices; manage cost; forecast and plan resource requirements; participate in negotiations; All engineering disciplines are included in this Job Family.

Electrical Construction Schedulers

The electrical construction scheduler is responsible for preparing and monitoring plans for concrete - and larger construction projects, both in performance and in procurement. You bear responsibility for drafting and presenting van (progress) reporting. Function in your daily contact with executors, administrators, site managers and project leaders. You will also be the link in the project and you have regular contact with the client. In this challenging and verbal function you are the spider in the web and the focal point serving the projects.
The candidate should have site construction experience, electrical disciplined ,conversant with planning software such as Primavera P6, must have sound knowledge of planning processes and scheduling, excellent written and spoken English, good communication skills, be self motivated and able to work with minimum of supervision. Capable of creating a class 4, 3,2 or 1 schedule, logically linked from the initiating stage through design , procurement, construction to commissioning.

The candidate should have an S1 degree and at least 5 years relevant experience

The schedule:
* No rotation job, contract with normal holidays 20 days a year
* 44 hrs a week,
* Monday to Friday : 0800h - 1730h - Lunch break 0130h
* Saturday: If Over time to be worked ( - 2hrs as week only 42hrs worked)
* all overtime paid

* The 4 people will be logged in equipped apartment near facility
* Transport is foreseen

* Lunch is at Canteen of Refinery and provided by us
* per diem locally paid for living costs
