Job - Development Geologist - Oil & Gas Major Player

The successful applicant will coordinate and work effectively in a multi disciplinary team and contribute to maturing discovery towards development.

Key Responsibilities:
* Geological evaluation and modelling
* Provide geological input to optimise appraisal & development well planning activities & operational support during drilling activities.
* Integrated field studies with other key disciplines (stratigraphy, geologic modelling, reservoir engineering, production, geophysics, Petrophysics, etc.).
* Provide input & guidance on reservoir management and surveillance
* Implementing proposed partnership strategies to achieve company objectives
Required Skills:
* Minimum of 8 yrs industry experience. The majority of experience has been with a major operating company.
* Good understanding of subsurface evaluation techniques & methodologies in Australia
* Understanding & knowledge of geophysics, operations geology and reservoir engineering
* Exposure to 3D static reservoir model building using industry software (GOCAD, Petrel, Stratworks & Geolog).
* Experience with gas reservoirs from exploration to development planning
* Strong communication & interpersonal skills
* A team player who can converse well with a multi diverse group and joint venture partners.
