The Regional Service Manager is authorized to handle all client enquiries on behalf of the Company. The Regional Service Manager reports directly to the General Manager and through dotted line to the Global Service Manager.
Regional Service Manager
Responsibilities:
* The management of the day to day activity for the regional service team.
* Lead and develop the regional service team.
* Implement a “sales through service” program to maximize revenue opportunities and increase customer spend.
* Understand customer; ensure the team deal with customers in a manner that builds relationships.
* Ensure service information is analyzed and interpreted to identify trends, make and action suggestions for improvement.
* Carry out route cause analysis for warranty claims / service events.
* Feed improvement and preventive actions into correct departments to prevent re occurrence.
* Champion new business initiatives and change across the regional service team.
* Ensure the timely and accurate processing of spares and service orders.
* Provide monthly reporting on open service events, warranty claims, rental status.
* Raise the profile of the regional service team by communicating and presenting to internal and external customers.

* At least Diploma in Engineering with 5 years relevant experience.
* Excellent leadership and management skills.
* Strong commercial acumen.
* Excellent Influencing skills with an ability to build strong working relationships with key stakeholders in the sales, operations, finance as well as external suppliers and customers.
* 100% customer focused with a strong track record in customer service.
* A talent for problem-solving and driving issues to closure.
* The ability deal with customer complaints in an understanding and professional manner.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
* Demonstrable talent for building rapport with customers – the personality to make a positive impact.
* An ability to quickly understand client needs and identify appropriate opportunities to promote services and cross-sell products.
* Self starter uses initiative.
* The ability to work under pressure and manage constantly changing priorities.
* Good team player.
* Proficient IT skills including MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.
