A medium sized E&P company is currently looking for a Sr./Completions Engineer to join their growing team in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
The Completions Engineer reports to the Director, Production and Completions Engineering and designs, models, costs and supervises completion procedures for the company's shale and CBM assets.
This position is based in Pittsburgh for operations in West Virginia, Kentucky, Virginia and Pennsylvania.
The Completions Engineer reports to the Director, Production and Completions Engineering and designs, models, costs and supervises completion procedures for the company's shale and CBM assets.
This position is based in Pittsburgh for operations in West Virginia, Kentucky, Virginia and Pennsylvania.
Responsibilities include the following:
-Prepares completion procedures for both vertical and horizontal wells;
-Performs frac modeling and post treatment analysis;
-Performs onsite supervision of completion operations;
-Identifies opportunities for new completion designs based on value-add techniques that balance reserve additions versus cost increases;
-Performs post-completion analysis including: tracking well performance, documenting results and developing solutions to improve performance;
-Performs service company evaluations; and
-Ensures compliance with the Company’s safety and environmental policies.
Required Skills
-Proficient in completion design and operations
-Knowledgeable in completion theory and principals
-Excellent communication skills
-Required Experience
-Bachelor's degree in petroleum engineering or related engineering field
-At least three years of completions experience
-Marcellus completions experience preferred
