Responsibilities:
Project Management (Operational Excellence)
Carry out engineering design and review of plant modifications.
Participate in CPDEP quality viability review for major project in the plant.
Carry out review of plant modifications
To prepare cost estimate for project work.
To review equipment and piping layout plan.
To prepare tender documents and evaluate contractors bid.
To purchase, inspect and issue all construction material.
To monitor contractor progress to ensure safe project execution within cost and schedule.
To review any major project variation arising from change order to meet business goals.
To carry out punch listing for completed project work.
Participate in project commissioning and start-up to ensure the successful completion of project before handling to Operation.
To resolve conflicts and different functional needs across the organization to meet project deliverables.
To manage all project records and documentation for completed projects.
To maintain and update project standard specifications and drawings.
To use CPDEP process utilizing VIPs and decision quality tools as a key business process in project management
To prepare cost estimate for project work.
To review equipment and piping layout plan.
To prepare tender documents and evaluate contractors bid.
To purchase, inspect and issue all construction material.
To monitor contractor progress to ensure safe project execution within cost and schedule.
To work with professional engineers on all site inspections by government agencies.
To review any major project variation arising from change order to meet business goals.
To carry out punch listing for completed project work.
Participate in project commissioning and start-up to ensure the successful completion of project before handling to Operation.
To resolve conflicts and different functional needs across the organization to meet project deliverables.
To manage all project records and documentation for completed projects.
To maintain and update project standard specifications and drawings
Safety Management ( Operational Excellence)
To award project contract taken into considerations the safety, health and environment requirements such that the lowest dollar bid will not be the sole selection criteria.
Evaluate the contractor activities during the work so that the appropriate measures established to achieve safety performance such as the Safe Work Practices and health guides provided to the company.
A formal safety program
Requirements of the Contractor to designate a responsible supervisor to coordinate safety at site.
Conducting safety audits during construction work.
Requirements of the contractor to promptly conduct full investigations of accidental occurrences and provide a report with effective follow-up actions identified.
Establish with the contractors open lines of communication at all levels of supervision, such as safe work practices are understood and implemented by all parties.
To participate in behavioral based safety program to identify and address safety performance and issues.
To carry out Job Safety Analysis for all critical jobs in construction work.
To carry out field audits to ensure contractors comply to the plant safety requirements in construction work.
To lead and participate in incident investigations.
People Resources (Organizational Capability)
To evaluate resources needed to complete a project.
Direct and manage the activities of the contractors
Develop and implement training programs for new installation for maintenance and operation technician.
Capital budget (Cost Reduction & Capital Stewardship)
To develop a cost estimate for capital and expense project work for plant modifications.
To manage the capital budget of Management of Change orders to stay within allocated budget
To evaluate contracting strategy to deliver the lowest cost of construction.
