ENGINEERING JOBS
Our client is a blue chip engineering organization specializing in the design and manufacturing of subsea wellheads and xmas tress. Due to increased workload and global demand for their industry leading products they are looking for design engineers from all types of engineering backgrounds and differing levels of experience. Reporting to the Product Group Leader the engineer will be expected to take part in the following:
Generate conceptual designs or customize existing designs for proposals or projects from customer or internally generated specifications and prepare design layouts using 2D (Microstation) or 3D (Unigraphics) drawing packages.
Verify design where necessary using classical analysis techniques (bending, buckling, shear, bearing, and pressure vessel). Assistance will be enlisted where more complex analysis is required. Analysis will require to be formalized for inclusion in product design files and Product Design Documentation.
Present designs to engineering staff during internal design reviews.
Prepare DBI’s and review detail drawings (selecting raw material as necessary) prepared from design layouts.
Make necessary engineering changes to product drawings and DBI's.
Participate in investigation and disposition of non-conformances.
Generate equipment assembly, test, FAT, handling, storage, rework, maintenance and commissioning procedures as required.
