Our client is a leading Oil and Gas Operator which has Projects all over the world. They are currently involved in a major Oil and Gas Project in Western Australia and have a requirement for a Safety Case Lead to be based in central Perth. The main purpose of this role is to be coordinate planning and preparation of all Safety Cases required for Offshore Development. The main duties of the role include:
- Delivery of Safety Cases to the National Offshore Petroleum Safety Authority (NOPSA) ensuring they meet all Quality and Content requirements.
- Prepare detailed delivery plans and target dates for Safety Cases.
- Monitor EPC Progress towards acceptance of vessel cases.
- Critically review safety cases prepared by projects for submission to NOPSA.
- Liaise and manage third party relationships in relationship to safety cases.
The candidate should have the following background for this position:
- Tertiary Qualifications and / or professional registration in a relevant Engineering Discipline e.g. Engineering, Petroleum engineering, Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum of 10 Years in Safety and Risk roles for the Offshore Oil and Gas Industry.
- Previous experience of Safety Case Submissions.
- An understanding of Australian Regulatory Requirements and NOPSA guidelines.
The position would be a Contract position on a Residential status in Perth, Western Australia and would be working on one of the largest resource Projects in the Region. The client will pay an attractive Day Rate and will provide assistance for people relocating plus additional benefits.
