A major Oil company in Bangalore is looking for Fire Heat Transfer Engineers and Unfired Heat Transfer Engineers to work within the organization on contractual basis with possible conversion to a permanent role.
As a Fire Heat Transfer Engineer/ Unfired Heat Transfer Engineer in the Utilities and Heat Transfer Engineering Delivery Group, you are responsible for (but not limited to):-
- Troubleshooting, de-bottlenecking and technical support for heat transfer equipment in operating plants, focused on all types of heat exchangers and air coolers; this consultancy work includes site visits as well as desk studies.
- Heat transfer equipment operating data analysis and interpretations.
- Preparation of heat transfer equipment design (thermal, hydraulic, and mechanical)
- Project support / quality assurance.
- Training.
- Guidance to technology development, design practices and procurement standards.
- Technical Assurance for projects and services within the Heat Transfer discipline.
- R&D activities in the field of heat transfer.
To apply, the candidate should have the following experience and qualification requirements:-
- The Heat Transfer Specialist should preferably have BS in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering (dependent on JG level).
- Dependent on Job Group you should have 10-20 years of professional experience in the Heat Transfer discipline.
- The Heat Transfer Specialist is expected to have a sound background in engineering, as well as knowledge in the field of heat transfer and physics of transport phenomena and fluid flow, although this may depend on job group.
- Successful experience working as part of a team, self motivated to learn.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, the ability to listen well.
- Results oriented. Customer focused.
- The heat transfer specialist is expected to have mastery level in at least two of the key discipline area competencies as indicated below:
- Develop, Design and Specify Air-Cooled Exchangers
- Develop, Design and Specify Heat Exchangers
- Evaluate and Troubleshoot Heat Exchangers
-The heat transfer specialist shall also have knowledge to mastery level (dependent on job group) in key competencies as per below:
- Delivers Results & Champions Customer Focus
- Analyses & Solves Problems
