Major Operator seeking experienced Drillsite Production Engineer to work within a multidisciplinary to optimize developmental long range plans for the Greater Kuparuk Area. (Kuparuk is a giant, mature oil field, second in size after Prudoe Bay)

This position will provide the successful candidate with the opportunity to think and work at a strategic level helping management to decide the best course of action for long term success. On a daily basis, the position works as a member of the Integrated Planning Team consisting of reservoir, drilling, facility, and project engineers, as well as operations and co-owner personnel. The position is part of the Develop team and will also have additional Drillsite Petroleum Engineering responsibilities.

Key roles:
Working as part of the Integrated Planning Team, responsibilities may include:
• Maintaining and further developing a well attrition model to forecast future production impacts
• Evaluating well attrition mitigation options and develop a mitigation plan
• Working with the subsurface Subsidence Team to understand thaw subsidence effects and determine best alternatives to reduce impacts
• Forecasting well work to ensure sufficient resources are available on a long term basis
• Developing a long term artificial lift strategy and plan
• Evaluating and creating plans to introduce new technology for existing or new development opportunities
• Coordinating various water optimization, etc. projects to maximize recovery
• Assisting with running the integrated planning model and analyzing the results
Working as a Drillsite Petroleum Engineer, responsibilities may include:
• Optimizing Miscible Water Alternating Gas (MWAG) flood and waterflood areas by identifying and evaluating slickline, e-line, coil tubing wellwork and rig workovers.
• Planning and recommending surveillance data acquisition programs to support base production and redevelopment programs (i.e. pressure transient analysis, tracers, production and injection logs, etc.)
• Coordinating waterflood pattern performance studies, including reservoir producer/injection interaction evaluations, to identify additional development prospects that improve overall oil recovery
• Promoting new technology for increasing waterflood and enhanced oil recoveries within existing flood patterns
• Mentoring of summer interns and junior engineers.

Qualifications:
• Authorized to work in the United States on a regular, full-time basis.
• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or related engineering field
• Minimum five years direct experience in production, surveillance and/or reservoir engineering
• Minimum two years experience with surface facility projects
• Minimum two years experience with secondary and/or tertiary oil recovery operations including implementation of surveillance programs and understanding enhanced oil recovery (EOR) processes
• Well intervention experience (rig workovers, coiled tubing work, stimulations, etc.)
• Proficient with all MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
