Air Energi have partnered with a Leading Energy Supplier to identify a Geoscientist for Unconventional Resources in Houston, Texas. To provide expert UR geoscience advice and support to Group's unconventional resources activities in the AGLNG Region, principally shale gas, and in relation to Asset Support, New Ventures, and Technology.
Responsibilities:
Accountable for defining and delivering the discipline-specific and integrated cross-discipline work scopes within UR work programmes, ensuring full implementation of Group's Policies and Standards and related processes covering HSSE, EAC, VAF, PRI, Economics, etc.
Responsible for implementing, maintaining and improving technical functional excellence for Regional UR projects.
Acts as Geoscience focal point for AGLNG's UR projects. Provides expert advice on geological techniques to asset staff and management and provides first line QA/QC for all geological work within the asset/team.
Has function oversight of geological input into asset operational activities and analytical studies.
Involvement in Peer Assists and Assurance Reviews as required.
Qualifications:
Experience with a major UR operator preferred but not essential.
Acknowledged expertise and experience in UR projects across multiple basins & (preferably) plays (shale, coal, tight gas). Expected to be recognized as a professional and industry leader in functional area.
Experience of all stages of planning and delivery of UR projects (vertical program, cores, horizontal testing, fraccing, development drilling, manufacturing).
Expert in multiple workflows in own discipline and cross-disciplinary for play partitioning, resource and value determination.
Able to influence at highest level in Company, JVs and governments.
May have completed broadening projects, assignments, or other ‘out of function’ secondments e.g. Technology, M&A, LNG.
