ENGINEERING JOBS

A large Owner/Operator is looking for a Site Document Controller to be based in Fort McMurray, AB. The suitable candidate is responsible for managing the Site project day to day document control activities, coordinating the overall document control process including monitoring the contractor's performance and processes and reporting issues to the project Lead Document Analyst.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist the Lead Document Analyst to ensure overall information management and document control meet project objectives.
Work with Lead Document Analyst to develop and maintain Site processes
Act as main point of contact for Site Stakeholders
Supervise and train Document Analysts at Site if required
Identify opportunities for improvement
Facilitate the information flow between and Contractors
Coordinate the document management process, including monitoring that of the Contractors quality of work, performance and processes (KPI - Key Performance Indicators).
At each stage of work, revisit document management processes to ensure compliance with stage requirements.
Coordinate with Contractor Document Control and Project Information Management through team meetings and mentoring as required.
Assist with smooth project turnover, close-out and records management as requested

REQUIREMENTS
Mobilization to Site, rotations
Travel to Site, as required
Attention to detail
Superior command of the English language both written and oral
Knowledge of engineering technical terminology
Minimum of five years of technical document control experience in the oil and gas industry
At least three years in a site document control supervisory position
Knowledge of all aspects of Document Control in the oil and gas industry
Experience in EDMS systems such as DM, FileNET, Documentum, POL, etc.
Proficient with MS Word, MS Excel and Adobe Acrobat Professional
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Strong organizational, management and coordination skills
Ability to adapt to tight deadlines and frequent changes in priorities
