A world leader in project management, engineering and construction for the energy industry is currently looking for Lead / Senior Flexible Design Engineer to be based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
The candidate will be reporting to the subsea Engineering Manager and operationally to the client operations manager
Main Accountabilities:
1. Ensures compliance with project specifications and applicable codes and standard
2. Defines engineering plan, monitors progress and manages changes
3. Supervises and support allocated team of engineers
4. Provides technical support to project management and manufacturing team
Job scope:
Responsible for Flexible Pipe Engineering Scope on a Project or Tender
Background
1. 5 to 10 years experience in flexible pipe design, covering both pipe structural aspects, and riser systems analysis.
2. Ability to direct, guide and defend engineers along solution paths
3. Experience as project lead engineer with direct interaction with client and manufacturing team candidate will be preferred
4. Tendering phase (Technical proposal preparation and clarifications) experience will be preferred.
