Employer: International Engineering Consultancy in Oil & Gas
Location: Qatar
Duration: 1 year extendable (Direct Hiring on successful completion of contract duration).
Reports to: Engineering Manager
Supervises: Designers / Engineers in Civil Structural Discipline (Offshore)

Job Description:
Core functional responsibility is to Establish the highest standard of technical know how in the Discipline, implementing the most effective procedures to meet the project objectives, there by achieving a uniform approach to reduce cost and time factor on the project

Manage Company's technical Structural engineering requirements:

• Coordinating with Project Managers on project related critical issues
• Reviewing and approving all the input to proposals
• Implementing benchmarking
• Ensuring QA procedure are maintained by staff
• Ensuring that departmental budgets and target are met
• Follow up of progress with respect with to man hour control on projects and proposals
• Maintaining and building tools and methods to improve the efficiency
• Using previous project and proposal feedback for corrective actions.
• Representing Company during clarifications/negotiation on discipline related matters

Administratively manage Structural discipline through:

• Reviewing staff capability with the view to improvement where required, identifying training needs of all the employees.
• Review staff performance on projects and recommending improvements plans as required.
• Conducting internal and external audits s required

Qualifications & Skills required:

• The Candidate should be post graduate in Structural Engineering.
• The candidate should have Extensive experience in Engineering Design and  Analysis of Offshore Structures (Jacket, Deck, FPSO) 
• Should be well conversant with using SACS suit of software / programs, other suits of Programs will be advantage.

Software Proficiency:

• Experience with SACS suit of programs and other offshore related software's.
• Conversant with Finite Element Analysis, knowledge in COSMOS.
• Familiar with British and American Codes, API and other offshore related standards.
