An Established Oil Company (PSC) in Indonesia is searching a qualified candidates based in Jakarta:
Lead Facilities Engineer (Indonesian only)
The Role:
• To lead all engineering disciplines (structural, piping, mechanical, electrical, instrument, control system, pipeline, T&I) to build offshore platform.
• You will become the Technical Authority responsible for the safe design and as-installed integrity of project facilities, across all engineering disciplines.
• You will ensure the proper design to international standards and engineering codes of the following facilities:
• Brownfield modifications on the Company s project platform (e.g. reconfiguration of compressors; modification of electrics, instruments and power; umbilical tie-in and installation of export metering.
• Engineering, fabrication and installation of two unmanned wellhead platforms, fabrication and installation of two umbilical (32km & 19km).
• Fabrication, installation and tie-in of two subsea pipelines for gas export from the wellhead platforms back to Company s project.
Responsibilities:
• To lead all engineering disciplines (structural, piping, mechanical, electrical, instrument, control system, pipeline, T&I) to build offshore platform.
• Act as primary author of the Design Safety Case, submitted for independent verification and corporate approvals.
• Control and authorize engineering discipline inputs into the Design Safety Case.
• Act as Technical Authority and ultimate authorize of detailed design produced by the EPCI Contractor, sub contractors and vendors.
• Ensure adequate technical controls exist within the EPCI contract and are cascaded down to subcontractors and vendors.
• Verify subcontractor and vendor engineering design integrity, through drawing approval loops and under audit rights as specified in the EPCI contract terms.
• Ensure safe custody and control of Company s Engineering Intellectual Property as delivered by EPCI Contractor. Ensures full handover of approved as-built documentation and data (including DCS / F&G / UCP master software sets) to POI Operations.
• Daily management and supervision of the Company s Project design engineering team; set and assess individual IPC s for the internal engineering team.
• Ensure facilities are ultimately commissioned and placed into service in strict accordance with the Design Safety Case.
• Manage contractors/consultants during detailed engineering, execution, commissioning and close out phases to ensure implementation of Engineering Design according to planned engineering standards, cost and schedule.
• Ensure compliance with Indonesian statutory and BPMIGAS regulations.
• Deliver a detailed engineering plan to a high technical and safety standard.
• Implement plans through fabrication, installation and commissioning phases.
• Develop Company s engineering team skills; ensure knowledge transfers to, and mentoring of staff.
Reporting to
• Project Manager.
Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Qualifications
• Degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
• Professional membership of an accredited industry or professional institution.
• Skills/Knowledge/Attributes.
Skills (and experience)
• Minimum 15 years experience within Upstream, including management of multidiscipline engineering teams experience working to North Sea standards.
• Experience of development projects from concept selection through to commissioning and operations.
• Proven strong engineering skills and the ability to solve problems across all engineering disciplines through competent man-management.
