We are currently looking for an experienced and motivated individual to fill the position of Asset Integrity/Risk Lead, based in Houston, TX.
Essential Job Duties :
This position is responsible for developing and standardizing Asset Integrity (AI), which includes Mechanical Integrity (MI) and Maintenance, as well as management/development of Risk related processes for MCBU. Primary functions include mechanical integrity and maintenance project planning systems and procedures, executing schedule developments, Inspection/Testing/Maintenance (I/T/M) analysis, budget proposals, and ensuring that all regulatory and OOG requirements are continuously met. This role will also be responsible for developing policy and procedures related to Risk to include continued development of the MCBU OSHA PSM program and other risk related activities.
Typically work in both a field and office environment, based out of Houston. Involves frequent walking and lifting of light equipment, weighing up to 40 lbs. Ability to maneuver through oil and gas facilities in restrictive terrain, is necessary. Requires regular operation of office and field computers. Frequent contact is made with OXY staff, external contractor support. Attendance in regular meetings with both OXY and contract administration support is necessary.
Qualifications
- This position includes the following functions to be performed in support of asset development and ongoing mechanical integrity and maintenance related operations with the following focus on value optimization:
- Project Management - Sound understanding of mechanical integrity practices, technical knowledge and code intent, cost control, and scheduling. Planning and management for safe execution of projects with predictable costs, schedules and performance.
- Experience - Ability to analyze fixed equipment failures using personal knowledge, internal and external resources.
- Experience - Ability to create failure reports and generate action plans to prevent reoccurrence of unwanted releases.
- This position will also include the following functions to be performed in support of the risk management program development:
- Oversee risk management program development, implementation, maintenance and compliance.
- Oversee the OSHA PSM, EPA RMP and similar facility regulatory program development, implementation, maintenance and compliance.
- Oversee the MOC, PHA, PSSR and similar risk program elements.
- Oversee the building siting program.
- The successful candidate must have a strong working knowledge in the following:
- OSHA Process Safety Management elements and typical safety program requirements
- Industry codes and standards (API 510, API 570, API 653, API 576, etc.)
- Proficiency in non destructive examination techniques and procedures as well as inspection and testing requirements for fixed pressure retaining equipment.
- Process Hazard Analysis process and techniques
- Mechanical Integrity practices/procedures
- Maintenance of rotating equipment practices/procedures
- Teamwork & Communication - Demonstrated ability to work effectively in multi-discipline, collaborative environment. Ability to build team consensus and provide realistic alternatives.
- Excellent communication skills (concept articulation, listening, presentation, and report writing).
- Assure the above programs and documentation complies with Oxy and regulatory requirements
- Provide support for issues closely related to the above programs and requirements, (such as facility technical information and mechanical integrity), through knowledge sharing, audits and similar support.
- Achieve program performance and compliance through expertise, teamwork and coordination with asset and Oxy personnel.
- Support other HES and Asset initiatives and programs
- Proficiency in use of Microsoft Office Suite software
