ENGINEERING JOBS
Progressive Global Energy has been tasked with sourcing a
Mechanical Project Engineer to work on a staff position within a
drilling contractor based South Aberdeen.
The company is a global drilling contractor, within which there is a global 'arm' who have 53 rigs on a global basis. They are looking for a Mechanical Project Engineer to be a point of contact in charge of personnel for visit work, preparing reports, as well as being there on execution and close out.
The current engineering team is relatively young and inexperienced, so there is a requirement for an engineer with proven experience in a similar role, to be able to come on board and help lead the existing engineers in the line of work and to hit the targets.
The role will involve extended periods away from home (could be up to 6/7 weeks away at one time), as well as office and site work. As a result of the travelling included in the job, candidates must be able to travel worldwide with no restrictions in terms of a working VISA.
On average, about 8months of the year will be spent in the office, and 4months spent travelling and away on site and offshore. Whilst in the office, the working hours are:
Monday - Thursday 8-5pm
Friday - 8-12pm
And when on site or offshore, working hours are:
Monday - Sunday for 12hours
As a result of the working hours and the job responsibilities, the company also offer company contributory pension, medical and dental care, life insurance, a car allowance of £450 per month, as well as a small bonus of up to 15% of base salary based on personal and company performance.
If you are interested in the above position, are eligible to work in the UK without sponsorship, and able to travel worldwide with no VISA restrictions, please forward your latest CV to Laura Ballance for consideration, and call into the office for further details.
Progressive Global Energy & Natural Resources is proud to be a member of EIC.
