Job Description

To work as part of the craft team to deliver the engineering craft work assigned to the "Technology Services Group" Within the Hull Research Centre. To provide efficient execution of work assigned to them within their training, skill and competency.

Carry out any task for their core trade.
• To execute all tasks assigned safely, to the required quality and within the expected time. To act as the Responsible job controller whenever required
• Complete all tasks allocated by the supervisor
• Job reporting
• Accurate time writing of all worked hours
• Achieve "building craftsman" status.
• Carry out work place safety and condition audits as required.
• Continuously seek and implement improvements to improve the overall productivity of the TSG team.
• Facilitate the work of contractors and specialist technicians working on the site.
• As part of a team, ensure call out cover and response to meet all out of hour's maintenance requirements. May be required to be part of an on call rota and carry a phone/pager.
• The individual is expected to work as a team, with those around them.
• Regular contact with operations for permits
• Individual will have a nominated line manager but will be expected to be a real self starter, from both a safety and technical standpoint.

Qualified to NVQ level 3 in Instrument/Electrical Engineering or a recognized Instrument/Electrical craft apprenticeship with City & Guilds qualification or ONC
