- Work with your Manager to improve the department
- Direction of the preventative maintenance personnel
- Ability to update Electronic Preventative Maintenance system
- Ability to analyze Preventative Maintenance data and modify program based on this data
- Ability to analyze equipment manuals and translate that data into meaningful Preventative Maintenance schedules.
- Read electrical and hydraulic prints
- Troubleshoot and repair electronic, electrical, and mechanical equipment in a reasonable time
- Ability to train all preventative maintenance personnel in their job duties
- Fill out all required paper work and work orders
- Possess a good working knowledge of furnaces, oil heaters, ladles, hoist, die cast machines, air compressor, sump pumps, exhaust fans, vacuum system, and be ableto repair them
- Be able to weld and train others
- Order parts as needed by the department, in a timely manner.
- Keep the Maintenance department clean and orderly at all times
- Work with the Purchasing department to order parts on time.
- Work with the Supervisors of different departments to improve their operations
- Get all requests for purchases approved by your Supervisor.
Desired Skills & Experience
- This position involves the direction and leadership of the preventative maintenance personnel in the maintenance department.It also involves the development and maintenance of the Electronic Preventative Maintenance System.
- Education Requirements: Two years Technical School, with High School education, or 7 years of equivalent work experience in the maintenance field. Extensive computer knowledge is required.
- Must have good supervisory skills and be self-directed
