Our client, World’s leading LNG Operator, is hiring for TapRoot Specialist (Western) to be based in Qatar.
The TapRoot specialist will place a key role with developing incident investigation skills for the Root Cause Analyst, who may be deployed Onshore, Offshore and with associated projects. This position will improve the quality of incident investigations and conducted by the Root Cause Analyst by using cross-functional teams to identify systematic causes of failures and developing recommendations to eliminate incident causes.
The TapRoot Specialist will coach, train and mentor investigation teams and develop them to an international recognized standard. Other areas that the TapRoot Specialist will develop the identification and creation of a Lessons Learned database, library and the most practical method to communicate these to all interested parties efficiently; whilst ensuring Lessons Learned are learned.
The TapRoot Specialist will work with all levels of employees, contractors, government agencies and other safety representatives throughout the company and associated project worksites.
The TapRoot Specialist will assist with developing improvements to the company Incident Management Manual, Policy, Procedures and Processes including presentation formats for different audiences.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
Engineering and/or Safety related MSc/Bsc, with at least Twenty Year post graduate experience, Ten years of which must have been involved with occupational and process safety investigations in an Oil and Gas major international company.
Five Years’ experience as a TapRoot trainer in a large multi-national and multi-cultural organization; preferably with GCC experience.
Broad knowledge of industrial occupational safety and process safety hazards and practical mitigating measures.
Must be proficient and independent to recommend internationally recognized training standards and courses.
Must be able to develop and prepare competency skill sets for Root Cause Analyst and Lead Investigators.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Able to facilitate team projects; group interfaces and foster team building and development.
Must be flexible and adaptable.
