Responsibilities of this position include:
Reliability Analysis:
Translate Solomon reporting, SAP data, production loss accounting and other with techniques including Pareto Plots, Crow AAMSA, Weibull Analysis and Barringer Production Weibull into actionable business improvements at both unit and equipment level
Select and deploy processes, tools and technologies to reduce reliability risk in the following areas :
Reliability in design
Reliable operating limits
Operator lead reliability including clean, visible plant
RAM studies including software modeling
FMEA
RCM
LCC
RCFA
Defect Elimination
Build capability:
Facilitate the knowledge transfer, development and training of all key leaders in operational reliability processes, tools and technologies. This to be achieved through coaching, mentoring and formal training as appropriate.
Capital and Special Maintenance projects:
Develop the business case for refinery wide reliability projects.
Assure reliability risk reduction in the respective project portfolios
BSc Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Instrument, Chemical)
MBA preferred
Minimum of 10 years in a manufacturing environment of which 5 have specialized in reliability work.
Track record of implementing technology enabled cross functional work processes. CMMS (SAP, Meridium), operator round enabler (Inteletrac, Pride etc) or other equivalent.

The central Reliability Engineer acts primarily as change agent selecting and deploying processes, tools and technologies building sustainable capability within Area and Central Teams to reduce reliability risk and delivering strategic intent.
