An EPC Oil and Gas company is looking for an Information Management Consultant to be based in Malaysia on contract basis.
The key information for the above mentioned position will be as follow:
Project Description:
- New information management platform
- Migration of different EDMS platform to one single information management platform for document management and team collaboration, SharePoint 2010 (SP2010), to optimize information and reduce costs.
- The first step is to move all content from the current Livelink platform into SharePoint2010.
Role Description:
SharePoint 2010 Engineering Information Management Consultant
Engineering IM Consultant will support the project in migrating their Livelink sites and content to the SP2010 platform.
1. Firstly the data collected so far have to be validated with the site owners, collections and applications.
2. Secondly the SP2010 IM Consultant will advise and assist business in cleanout of Livelink, best way to utilize SharePoint, verify usability of meta data template for projects and assets
3. Thirdly the SP2010 IM Consultant will
- Support the site owners with preparing for their migration
- Request sites
- Design & configure sites
- Inform the site owners on the steps that will be taken and their role.
4. The SP2010 IM Consultant will provide training to site owners.
5. The SP2010 IM Consultant will issue migration requests and monitor migration; including business signoff of actual migration as well as ensure
closedown of Livelink environments.
6. SP2010 IM Consultant will work with the owners during roll-out and afterwards to solve any questions and issues.
7. Last step is a validation and verification including site owner sign-off.
As the Project is using several global applications that are connected to Livelink and that need to be remediated to SP2010, the SP2010 IM Consultant will liaise with team members of the Line of Business Project & Technology that is responsible for the application remediation. The SP2010 IM Consultant will align and coordinate migration activities related to the applications content migrations and other project Livelink workspaces/sites.
The SP2010 IM Consultant will work closely with the Capital Project Team Members and the IM&IT business resources responsible for the Assets. He will ensure that application content migration activities and Livelink project & team workspaces will migrate to SP2010 at the same period.
Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Support the site owner in preparing for migration.
2. Support the site owner during roll-out.
3. Support the site owner to validate the migrated site.
Skills and Skill Levels:
Technical Skills and Experience (MANDATORY):
1. Has a couple of years of Information Technology and Information Management experience.
2. Has good knowledge and experience of SharePoint
3. Has knowledge and experience in Information Management and data analysis
4. Project setup in Livelink
5. Define folder structure in Livelink and manage permission.
(OPTIONAL):
1. Livelink experience is an advantage
2. Project configuration experience in ASSAI
3. Awareness of interface between EDMS to EDW
4. Industry experience is an advantage
Soft Skills and Experience (MANDATORY):
1. Communicates well and with care with business staff, i.d. non-IM/IT people.
2. Individual should be able to work in a complex organization
3. Works accurately.
4. Works well in a team.
5. Good analytical skills.
6. Individual should be focusing on delivering results
7. A good self-starter - pro-active.
8. Fluent in English.
