Job Description

  • Plan, organize and direct all aspects of structural engineering work for the RSS.
  • Ensure compliance with the Contract and Variations in all respects and propose Change Order Requests when potentially deviating from the Contract.
  • Responsible for resource allocation of RSS Detail Design personnel throughout the project.
  • Delivering the detail engineering design scopes in accordance with the approved budget and baseline schedule.
  • Ensure detail design engineering activities are performed in compliance with MDR Quality Management System Procedures and project specific procedures/plans.
  • Monitor and manage the detail engineering design risk profile & mitigation measures with assistance from relevant departments.
  • Ensures that QA & HSE policies and practices are properly administered and executed
  • Establish and maintain technical and professional standards within his/her team and ensuring that the work complies with Company objectives and specs/procedures.
  • Maintain close co-ordination with other engineering disciplines, planning and fabrication as required.
  • Ensure interfaces and deliverables are clearly identified. Coordinate material control requirements and maintains agreed material order release dates, ensures standards are followed.
  • Participate in internal, client and third party technical audit on engineering deliverables and vendor documents.
  • Manage the geotechnical design engineering subcontractor scope of work related to the RSS.

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Degree qualified or relevant experience within the O&G Offshore / Subsea industry. Minimum 10 years (preferred 15 years) subsea structural engineering experience
  • Held roles as Lead Structural Engineer
  • Experienced with Australian conditions (foundations etc)
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Sound knowledge of structural and piping aspects of subsea structures
