Job Description

Assists project, planning and control activities for project implementation and production operations in the company’s oil and gas fields.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Performs economic analysis for decision making under senior decision analyst supervision.
  • Structures project schedule in Microsoft Project and Primavera under senior planner supervision.
  • Participates in the design of company’s platforms, facilities and pipelines.
  • Assures the compliance with Company’s standards of operations and regulatory requirements in the production fields.
  • Participates in the Department’s budgeting preparation.
  • Prepares standard procedures.
  • Prepares scope of work for contracting of services providers, consultants, and equipment vendors.
  • Makes presentations to partners and attends partner operations and technical meetings.
  • Participates in routine and non-routine meetings related to these duties and responsibilities.
  • Must abide by all QHSE policies and guidelines.
  • Perform other technical and managerial duties as assigned.

Desired Skills & Experience

EDUCATION/ CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES
  • Bachelor's degree (B. S. in Engineering) from four or five-year College or university, preferably Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, Civil or Petroleum Engineering.
  • Internship in the offshore oil and gas industry is highly desirable.

  • Ability to operate:

    • Written and verbal fluency in
    • English
    • Portuguese (a plus)
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents; to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community; help with technical presentations to peers, managers, partners, government agencies, and at prospective business deal meetings.
  • Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations; to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity analysis.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions; to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Ability to work with little or no supervision.
  • Ability to work within a team is a must: share activities, give and accept feedback, accept supervision and time controls.
  • Ability to interface with field personnel (directly or through third party).

WORK ENVIRONMENT
