QC Inspector – China – FIFO from Point of Hire- Workshop Experience is essential
- Fly in Fly out - 12 weeks on, 14 days off or 6 weeks on, 10 days off Roster, Permanent Position
- Accommodation provided, with Driver and flights back to your point of hire
We are currently seeking an industry experienced QC Inspector to join us on a FIFO roster to China. This role will be a permanent position where you can develop your career whilst enjoying the many benefits of joining a leading national engineering company.
The role includes the coordination and inspection of fabrication, welding, surface treatment and quality systems activities through surveillance of multiple workshops throughout China. You will be part of a strong team of expats and local professionals working with subcontractor fabrication companies in China and ensuring that the work meets our clients’ standards.
As a QC Inspector your responsibilities will include:
- Ongoing surveillance and visual inspections of welding and steelwork.
- Development and ongoing implementation of quality deliverables such as Inspection and Test Plans, Field Inspection Check sheets and welding related documentation
- Coordination and management of Non-destructive testing activities
- Verification of workshop construction activities
- Preparation and compilation of project quality verification documentation including the compilation of project MDRs
- Ongoing maintenance of quality assurance and welding databases
- Issuing and follow up of Non Conformance Reports and Field Discrepancy Reports
Desired Skills & Experience
Essential to this position you will have:- Previous workshop experience in a similar QC Inspector position
- Working knowledge of the AS/NZS ISO 9001 quality systems and processes
- Sound working knowledge of Australian and international standards and codes
- Well-developed written communication, able to prepare management reports and work instructions,
- Demonstrated ability in computer skills including MS Word and MS Excel
- Welding / Fabrication Trade, NDT background or relevant industry experience
- Welding supervisors or inspection qualification (WTIA, CSWIP or equivalent)
- A proven track record in building and maintaining effective relationships with clients
- Ability to work in a team.
- Welding Supervisors Certificate to AS1796 Cert 10,
- Welding Supervisors Certificate to AWS
- WTIA Certified Senior Welding Inspection Certificate (CSWI)
- CSWIP 3:2 Welding Inspector
- Mechanical inspection experience within workshop industry
- Knowledge and experience of Poly Pipe Welding
- Internal auditor qualifications highly desirable buy not essential
