The Gorgon project is one of the largest LNG projects in the World. The Downstream section of the project is being undertaken by the Kellogg Joint Venture (comprising Clough, HATCH, KBR, JGC). HATCH as part of the KJV-G delivering the downstream section of this project is looking to fill key positions.Currently there is an immediate opportunity for an NDE Inspector to be based on Barrow Island. This is a long term role offering the ability to be a part of a significant project and play an instrumental part in a results based project team.
Surveillance of NDE contractor’s on BWI including:
- Promote safety awareness (Incident Injury Free) IIF and safe performance
- Perform cross checking of contractor TOFD and PAUT data interpretation
- Carry out UT inspection (cross checking) of completed welds for verifications
- Providing assistance and direction to other NDE Inspectors on BWI
- Liaise, provide support and guidance to all site Contractors to ensure that NDE (Non Destructive Examination) is carried out in accordance project codes, standards, specifications and procedures
- Witness as required operator proficiency testing
- Review of NDE documentation systems, certification and training records, ensuring that reports are accurate and fully traceable back to inspected items
- Provide management with regular surveillance reports on site NDE activities
Desired Skills & Experience
- Certification to EN473 or ISO 9712 Level 2 UT Welds
- EN473 or ISO 9712 Level 2 TOFD and PAUT certification
- Consideration may be given to candidates with ISO9712/EN473 Level 2 UT welds certification only if significant experience in TOFD and PAUT can be demonstrated
- Highly experienced in TOFD and PAUT on piping
- Experienced in working to ASME B31.3 code case 181
- Pro-active approach to problem solving and trouble shooting. Ability to provide clear accurate, timely communication (written and Verbal) with line manger.
- The successful candidate will be self motivated, possess good communication skills, leadership, teamwork, computer literate with high level of technical report writing
- Experience in oil and gas construction and fully conversant with NDE of process piping, pressure vessels and structural steel work
- Qualifications in AICIP – Certified Pressure Equipment Inspector in Western Australia.
- Previous experience of working on LNG Projects.
- EN473 or ISO 9712 UT Level 2 node and nozzle
- EN473 or ISO 9712 Level 2 RT Welds
