Reservoir Engineer/Planning Engineer is urgently needed to fill a
position in Houston,TXwith an independent oil and gas company.

Responsibilities::
The Planning/Reservoir Engineer will work closely with geology,
geophysicists and engineers to quantify the resource in place and
estimate recoveries to assist with and/or coordinate budget, long-range
planning and reserves activities. The position will also work on long
range/frontier projects to ascertain the ability to economically develop
the asset.
* Provide reservoir engineering and economic evaluation support for land acquisition, joint venture opportunities and exploitation strategies
* Prepare look back analysis to aid in development planning
* Define the resource potential, EUR and value drivers
* Consolidate data and information and construct appropriate reservoir models, including reservoir simulation to assist in assessing well performance
* Coordinate with technical staff to integrate and apply new understanding to development program
* Actively engage in peer review to assess and convey program risk & upside
* Work with operations team to create budget, long-range planning and reserves activities
* Develop test and surveillance program to adequately evaluate upside potential
Education and Experience:
* Provide reservoir engineering and economic evaluation support for land acquisition, joint venture opportunities and exploitation strategies

Education and Experience:
* Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or expected equivalent education and previous reservoir experience
* Minimum of 5+ years progressive oil and gas exploitation/reservoir experience required, with 8 - 10 years reservoir experience in the corresponding Rockies or Mid Continent Basins where the position will be assigned is strongly preferred
* Proven knowledge in reservoir development planning/economic concepts and budget management methodologies
* Must have strong proficiency in Aries and Microsoft Office
Candidate Profile:
Only candidates who are legally permitted to work in USA will be considered
Relocation will be provided for the successful candidates if required
