Job Description
Statoil Canada Ltd. is looking for a Calgary based employee to work on a multi-disciplinary team; this position’s primary responsibility will be the support of the Leismer Petech reserve replacement and planning team for the growth and development of the Leismer project area and in support of SAGD production.Job description
- Work with the team's professionals to ensure data integrity
- Leismer asset contact role with the TEX PDM’s regarding data management
- Support the geoscientists and engineers on technical and software related issues
- Support in horizontal well planning and future pad selection and planning
- Participation in multi-disciplinary tasks that may be broad in scope
Desired Skills & Experience
Qualifications- A diploma in a petroleum-related discipline and five + years of industry experience with integrating various subsurface data types
- Previous oil sands and SAGD experience would be an asset
- Comfortable working in both Windows and Linux operating systems
- Experience in the following software would be a preferred asset:
- OpenWorks
- StratWorks
- Zmap
- RMS
- ArcGIS
- Accumap
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, particularly spreadsheet manipulation
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
