We are currently recruiting an AOC Chief Inspector, reporting to the Asset Integrity Manager to provide inspection services along with guidance in developing AOC’s inspection practices. AOC’s current project slate includes multiphase SAGD projects, pipelines, as well as light oil production.This position is based in Calgary.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain and optimize AOC’s asset integrity programs including pressure equipment, electrical equipment, and piping.
- Perform and/or coordinate pressure equipment, tank, piping, structural, and pipeline integrity inspections in accordance with applicable regulations.
- Provide input into standards and procedures.
- Support the development and maintenance of technical specifications and standards, as required.
Deliverables
- Development and alignment of the inspection specifications and QA/QC requirements to meet AOC’s business objectives and execution strategies.
- Develop and provide the inspection requirements for AOC’s existing assets.
- Provide input and recommendations for material and coating selections for AOC thermal projects
- Develop corrosion monitoring programs for AOC’s asset integrity program
- Provide inspection services for AOC’s operating assets
- 8+ years experience with a preference for thermal heavy oil experience (SAGD or CSS)
- Alberta Certified Pressure equipment and Boiler Inspector
- API 510/API 570 and ABSA in service Pressure Vessel Inspector Certificate of Competency preferred
- CGSB level I or II certification in MT/RT or UT is an asset.
- Strong knowledge of welding NDE and inspection methods is required
- Understanding of applicable codes and standards including ANSI, ASME, NACE.
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
