The Piping Stress Engineer works in close cooperation with the Piping Lead Engineer within a task force for the realization of multi-discipline projects during all engineering phases, from conceptual phase to commissioning. The Piping Stress Engineer is an advisor for the Piping Designer and acts pro-active as plant design develops.
Key responsibilities
- Demonstrate and maintain effective Client relationships, as customer representor.
- Demonstrate leadership skills, maintain effective relations with other disciplines and provide guidance/assistance to younger piping stress engineers.
- Communicate, both verbally and in written form in a professional manner, using email, letters, minutes of meeting and/or reports.
- Prepare man-hour and material estimates, and monthly budget reports for all piping design efforts.
- Evaluate Performance Appraisal of assigned personnel and administer counseling.
- Travel, as required, to ensure the successful execution of project and/or department goals
- Perform and check Pipe Stress analysis calculations & design using both computer-aided and manual techniques.
- Selection of support components
- Thorough understanding of codes, regulations and industry practices
- Prepare technical attachments for the requisitions and purchase orders of bellows and spring supports
- Perform technical bid evaluations of received bids of suppliers
- Perform squad check of vendor data and drawings from other disciplines
2. Approximately 10 years of relevant work experience
3. Experience with AutoPipe and Caesar II software
4. Experience with detailed design project (EPC) execution
5. Proficiency in English, additional German is a preference

Job Description
As Piping Stress Engineer, you perform manual and computer stress analysis of pipe systems with regard to code limitations, client and government regulations and equipment criteria, selection and specification of piping flexibility and supporting components, and review of vendor drawings and calculations. Desired Skills & Experience
1. An accredited Bachelors degree, or equivalent, in Engineering.2. Approximately 10 years of relevant work experience
