Instrument & Maintenance Engineer

The Instrumentation and Electrical Engineer will participate in a team of discipline engineerswith responsibility for ensuring the safe and efficient operations of Instrumentand Electricalsystems and equipment.

The position requires the candidate to carry out a wide range of duties in a fast paced environment, including technical support to the production facilities; ensuring compliance with legislative requirements, best practice and company policies and procedures; acting as design authority and responsible engineer for single and multi-disciplinary projects; performing breakdown and incident investigations; monitoring performance and recommending, justifying and implementing improvement schemes.
The successful candidate will demonstrate strong technical knowledge and proven design, construction, commissioning and operational experience gained in the Oil and Gas industry of similar heavy industrial environment, in the following areas;

Process Field Instrumentation
DCS / PLC Process Control Systems
ESD Systems
Low Voltage Distribution and motor control systems
Risk Assessment processes
Electricity at Work Regulations
Application of IEC61508/61511
Relevant EEMUA guidelines
ATEX/DSEAR legislation and Hazardous Area Management
HUET/BOSIET training (to be provided).


Knowledge and experience of the following areas would be advantageous, but not essential;

Switchgear, Synchronous Generators, Induction & Synchronous Motors
