AusGroup Singapore Pte Ltd is a subsidiary of AusGroup Limited, which offers regional support in South East Asia through its fabrication and machining facility in Singapore.
Its capabilities include turnkey manufacturing, fabrication, mechanical and structural installation, industrial insulation, machining, pressure testing, repair and refurbishment.
The company’s expertise lies in the fabrication of subsea equipment including manifolds, subsea trees, flow bases, risers, telescopic joints and mechanical handling equipment in addition to duplex welding and inconel cladding.

ESTIMATOR

Responsibilities:
1. Analyse blue prints, Bill of Materials (BOM) and other documents to prepare estimates of cost based on time, material, labour, logistics and subcontracting, buyout, etc.
2. Collate historical data of completed projects and estimations done, including changes in price list, overhead rates, foreign exchange risk, and other contingencies when estimating cost.
3. Maintain and update suppliers/vendors & subcontractors contacts with updated rates/price list on raw materials and services required, in coordination with Materials/Purchasing team
4. Review resources, material, time, labour and cost requirements to decide whether it is more cost effective to produce in-house or to purchase from outside.
5. Coordinate with Operations/production for labour and other related costings to ensure all estimates provided to Sales are at a competitive level and compliant to on-time delivery requirement.
6. Coordinate and support Sales for negotiation
7. Prepare contract/sub-contract agreement and tender documents including bill of quantity
8. Prepare material availability and project feasibility report
9. Prepare costing sheet/ job routing sheet to Project, Operations and Finance department after the job has been awarded.
10. Re-estimate and re-submit through Sales when changes to engineering drawings and/or materials are made by customers.
11. Provide quotation on variation orders through Sales to Customer to reflect the changes initiated by the customer.
12. Participate in kick off meetings where required before project execution.
13. Provide updated performance/progress report as required
14. Review and continually improve tendering and estimating processes & procedures
15. Perform all other duties as may be assigned.

Requirements:
* Diploma in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Precision Engineering or equivalent
At least 3 years experience as Estimator for heavey structural projects in Oil & Gas, marine or related industries
Able to understand & correctly interpret engineering drawings, welding symbols & procedure specifications
Ability to work well under pressure and tight deadlines
Excellent mathematical/ analytical skills
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Computer skills, e.g. knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, cost estimation software
Applicants must be willing to work in Tuas, 5 days per week, transport provided.
