Our client in South East England requires an Operations / Well Planning Geologist. This position would be on a 12 month contract initially. Reporting to the RST New Wells Delivery Manager, the Operations / Well Planning Geologist is responsible for providing the subsurface support while planning, executing and reviewing the drilling activity for the wells drilled in Rumaila field.

The main challenge of the Ops / Well Planning Geologist in the next 12 months is to achieve a good interaction and communication with the other RST groups and the other Subsurface and Drilling teams. Limitations of digital infrastructure, absence of defined processes, cultural differences and remote location can make this role more challenging than normal.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES. Geological and well planning input for New Well Delivery programmes. Providing Operations Geology support The RST Operations / Well Planning Geologist will be taking responsibility for the following activities. Lead right scoping.
Lead Non Drilling Surprises Risk Management. PPFG. Offset NPTs.
Wellbore Stability. Contingency planning / Decision Trees. SOR generation. Follow and support execution. Lead EOWR. Review implementation of lessons learnt.
