Quality Assurance Manager
Our client is a leading distributor of specialist steel to the Oil & Gas, Manufacturing and Nuclear industries. Following a major investment in infrastructure their Singapore office is in a position to expand its role as the sales and distribution hub for the Asia Pacific region.
Responsibilities
Representative reports directly to the Regional Director with defined authority and responsibility for all Health, Safety, Environmental & Quality related issues.
Development and implementation of the Management System to ensure compliance with AS/NZS ISO 9001:2000, AS/NZS 14001:2004, AS/NZS 4801:2001 & OSHAS 18001:1999.
Maintaining Management System documentation.
Reviewing the organisational relationships as they affect health, safety, environmental & quality and developing proposals for improvement.
Monitoring the Management System by auditing to determine compliance with the requirements of AS/NZS ISO 9001:2000, AS/NZS 14001:2004, AS/NZS 4801:2001 & OSHAS 18001:1999 and reporting the performance to senior management.
Developing and maintaining the Company training program.
Resolving all matters associated with Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality in the Company.
Required Skills
A Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering/Chemical Science with a minimum of 4 years experience in QHSE systems or a Diploma In quality engineering/Mechanical /Chemical with minimum 8 years of Experience QHSE System.
- Extensive knowledge of local HSE Legislations / Certified Safety Officer
- Certified Lead Auditor in QMS and HSE International Systems.
- Ability to tackle Quality problems with clients and suppliers.
- Full clean driving license
- Familiarity with EN and API Specification.
