Position Overview and Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Manager, CDC&O Engineering, the Completions Engineer will be responsible for:

• Stimulation program design and detailed completion
• Provisioning of day-to-day technical support during the execution phase of programs
• Working in a fast-paced work environment with an emphasis on timely delivery, cost effectiveness, interactive work style and sound execution
• Preparation of cost estimates
• Materials and service specification and selection
• Planning and engineering of completion projects including technical research, procurement of services, cost estimating, programming and AFE preparation.
• Ensuring that Talisman maintains a competitive completion advantage through the effective use of technical innovations. Help maximize the transfer of completion technology to other operations, as required.
• Providing mentorship for junior Completions engineers.

Qualifications:

• B.Sc. in Engineering ideally with a minimum of 7-10 yrs Completions Engineering experience
• Shallow gas experience in a project environment is desirable
• Familiarity with unconventional completions and fracturing operations
• Exposure to directional drilling and casing is essential
• Strong technical understanding around planning and execution of various different hydraulic fracturing techniques.
• Prior experience in the Marcellus a plus
• Skilled at working in a highly collaborative manner with Superintendents and Completion Foremen
• An efficient and precise communicator as the position requires interaction with team members, well site supervisors, service companies and regulatory bodies.
• Business acumen with a solid understanding of costs and economic decision making.
