Our client, a major operator in the offshore and onshore oil and gas industry is seeking candidates for roles within their drilling division. We are accepting applications for a Drilling Systems Advisor who fits the below qualifications;

Key responsibilities include:
- Providing technical support to the procurement process for MODU's, including but not limited to the following activities:
- Developing technical guidelines, specifications and other related documents which can be used in the procurement and evaluation of MODU's
- Identifying potential candidate rigs/Contractors, coordinating/leading rig visits and producing inspection reports
- Leading the technical portion of the tender evaluation
- Assist in contract negotiations and the development of contract documents
- Providing technical assistance to the Development team in the progression of design activities associated with drilling facilities on the fixed platform, including but not limited to the following:
- Reviewing technical guidelines, specifications and other related documents which can be used in the design phases of the platform
- Assisting in the evaluation and selection process of platform based drilling equipment packages
- Assisting in the development of commissioning and testing procedures
- Acting as the interface between Drilling & Completions operations team and the Development team during the pre-sanction aspects of the platform

Qualifications:
- A minimum of 20 years experience in drilling/completions operations, with experience with both floating and platform based drilling and completion operations
- Direct experience with the design, and operation of drilling facilities from a drilling contractors perspective
- Experience that includes exposure to an offshore and/or harsh weather subsea drilling and completion environment is preferred
- Demonstrated ability to function and lead a team in the technically challenging world of offshore drilling and completions. This capability would normally be achieved through some combination of technical education and operational experience.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Able to work collaboratively within a team, and with others outside of the formal organization (e.g. service providers, vendors, contractors), to achieve goals

The successful candidate will be expected to perform work offshore as required and/or requested, and therefore must successfully complete the medical assessment and required training for clearance to work in that environment.
