Its principal activities are the marketing and distribution of petroleum products in Malaysia.
PDB was incorporated on 5 August 1982 and was converted to a public company on 21 August 1993.

Responsibilities:


Develop CBD's Business Plans and Strategies & Initiatives; and monitor the progress of CBD's performance to ensure the accomplishment of short and long term objectives of the division inline with PDB's business objectives.
1. Business Planning
Develop and enhance CBD annual strategies, objectives and initiatives through consolidation of inputs from respective regional departments and application of business planning related tools (e.g. SWOT analysis,
target / objective setting and prioritization of initiatives) inline with PDB's overall business objectives.
Disseminate CBD plans to the regions through timely and effective communication to ensure common understanding of business targets / directions; monitor implementation of regional plan and budget to ensure
targets are met.

2.Plan & Budget
Consolidate submissions on respective departments# budget plans (i.e. Volume, KPBI, PNL, Margin, OPEX, CAPEX, ITRC, Training, and Manpower) and their Strategies & Initiatives during the Annual Planning Cycle for submission to PDB Strategic Planning Department and Finance Department.
Assist in preparation of presentations for CBD during the Annual Target Setting & MYPR Session, PDB Alignment Session and Creating Excellence Session.

3.Performance Analysis
Monitor the information on CBD performance database to ensure timely, accurate and comprehensive updates. Analyze sales performance trends and prepare performance reports to facilitate decision making (and control purposes) by CBD management in achieving CBD's strategies and initiatives.
Prepare presentation materials related to CBD performance for internal workshops, meetings and any other events, as and when required.#

4.OPEX Management
i. Monitor and analyze CBD#s OPEX utilization by department and seek justification for any variances for management reporting.
ii. Coordinate departments# submission for F1 tickets, festive giveaways (e.g. money packets, gifts) and diaries and calendars for CBD's submission to Brand Department.
iii. Act as a focal point for MIS documents on CRM events, customer sponsorship and other OPEX-related matters to ensure the expenses are within the budget allocation and are in accordance to the LOA.
iv.Monitor progress of training programs attended by all staff in CBD and ensure all necessary L1 forms have been submitted by departments.
v.Monitor IT asset movement / condition (notebooks and desktops) in CBD and act as a focal point for replacement-related matters.

5.Brand Plan Initiatives
Develop CBD brand plan and monitor the implementation progress of all Brand Plan initiatives in collaboration with PDB's Brand Department; prepare management reports for TC meetings.

6.Focal Person / Secretarial Role
i.Act as the secretariat in any CBD workshop organized to ensure objectives of the workshop are met.
ii.Act as a focal point for CBD website and ensure website is updated with the latest relevant information.

7. Networking and Relationship Building
Foster and sustain effective working relationships and rapport with the government authorities, business and management institutions, national and key industry players and service providers to keep abreast with
latest development to capture new business opportunities.

8. Codes of Conduct(COCD) and HSE Policies
Communicate, interpret and champion the execution of the objectives and provisions of the Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) policies and Codes of Conduct and Discipline (COCD) and undertake appropriate
mitigation and/or intervention programs to safeguard business operations, high staff discipline and industrial harmony.

9. Leadership and Capability Development
Drive the development of competent working team that will enhance and sustain staff capabilities in achieving high performance delivery to ensure internalization of the right leadership and capabilities in
executing their jobs.

11. Mindset, Behavior and Culture
Develop and implement distinctive mindset, behavior and culture to achieve high work performance by adoption and implementation of value interventions, tools and methodologies to promote and instill high sense of commitment, ownership, integrity and loyalty that will contribute to operational excellence.

 
 
Requirements:


1. A degree in Business / Marketing / Economics / Mathematics / Statistics / Information Technology (IT) or other related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years experience in oil & gas industry with at least 2 years experience in Commercial Business.
i. Effective Planning / Implementing Skills
ii. Effective Communication Skills
iii. Sound knowledge of overall commercial business operations and management, petroleum products, commercial pricing, marketing plan, macro-economics and computer applications & technology.
iv. Sound level of maturity and business acumen with a high aptitude in the PETRONAS business planning cycle process, report writing and intermediate/advance Microsoft Excel.
