An Established Oil/Gas Company (PSC) in Indonesia is searching a qualified candidates for:
HSE Manager (Drilling/ Rig/ Offshore Platform)
Requirement for the position is below.
Key accountabilities:
• Ensures adequate capable resources are available to provide H&S support to wells activities within the region.
• Has an independent line back to Wells S&OR in the event wells activities are not being properly resourced.
• Act as part of a global network of Wells H&S leads who ensure application of learning and Wells management systems improvements in the regions.
• Assures (from a health and safety perspective) that group, segment and divisional standards are being rigorously applied in Global Wells activities in the region.
• Manages the development of H&S staff in the wells HS&S team.
• Maintains an independent view of implementation of Safety & Operations Risk requirements and associated risks.
• Provides deep technical support to the line.
• Intervenes and escalates as appropriate to cause corrective action.
• Ensures appropriate policies, systems, standards, guidelines, procedures and bridging documents are in place to fulfill the requirements of the Local Operating System and Group Defined Practices.
• Provides advice to the management team and all staff and promote line responsibility for.
• Develops and monitors plans to meet policy/standard requirements.
• Develops performance standards to measure the successful implementation of the management system and the performance of contractors.
• Supports delivery of the local audit plan for processes and operational activities to ensure continuous improvement.
• Ensures all staff and contractors are competent and have completed training where necessary.
• Ensures all legal requirements are understood and addressed.
• Develops plans with Line Managers.
Essential Education:
• Bachelor s degree in engineering discipline.
Essential Criteria:
• A minimum of 10 years Drilling H&S experience.
• A minimum of 8 years in an H&S leadership role.
• Proven track record in H&S and/or operational disciplines, preferably with some exposure to drilling activities.
• Strong personal and process safety leadership skills.
• Respected technical contributor with ability to participate both internally and externally.
• Strong communication skills with all levels of the workforce.
• Experience in SOC (Behavior based Safety Programs), control of work, incident investigation, incident and emergency response.
• Proven ability to develop clear plans when dealing with complex and uncertain situations.
• Demonstrable leadership skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication (oral and written), engagement and team-working skills.
• Self motivated, with capability to work with minimum supervision and accustomed to being in positions of responsibility and accountability; proactive; able to work well under sustained pressure and have the ability and desire to take the lead on issues.
