The Offshore Health, Safety and Environment Advisors primary role is to provide health, safety and environment expertise and leadership to ensure that all operations are carried out in accordance with company and client HSE requirements, policies and procedures and regulatory standards and applicable legislation.
Role:
Provide coaching (e.g. advice, discussions, training sessions, presentations) and assistance with understanding of the vessel safety management systems to all personnel and onboard management;
o Act in an advisory capacity for employees and onboard management in all matters pertaining to Health Safety and Environment;
o Ensuring that vessel and project personnel comply with company; Client and regulatory HSE requirements;
o Liaising with Client representatives, company Senior Representative at the worksite or onboard the vessel, and Company Project and Corporate HSE Managers to provide feedback on HSE compliance and progress, and discuss areas requiring improvement;
EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Occupational Health and Safety Certificate IV and/or tertiary qualification.
Diploma or Degree Qualification highly regarded.
Audit experience/qualifications.
A minimum of 5 years offshore experience working with health, safety and environment management systems in a resource company environment.
Projects/Hydrocarbon experience highly regarded.
