One of our clients, a Major International Operator is currently seeking a Work Face Planning (WFP) Coordinator to join their team in Calgary, AB.

WFP coordinator is responsible to provide support for the development & alignment of the Construction Work Packages CWPs with Project Execution strategy during definition phase and will support the release of the different CWP's and the Field Engineering Work Packages (FIWP's) during execution phase of the Project.



This position will initially be located at the EP contractor offices in Calgary and after IFD to be deployed to Fort McMurray construction site.

Reporting to the Project Construction Manager the CWP Coordinator main responsibilities will include:
Alignment & Planning the release of CWPs in accordance with schedule requirements and dependencies.
Coordination with area construction and engineering personnel is essential to ensure CWP readiness and minimize release delay.
Provide regular reporting on CWP status and readiness information.
Will work in close cooperation with Construction Managers and the Lead Planner but will also be required to coordinate with staff from areas including HSE, Contracts Material, Project Control and Engineering in order to ensure readiness of CWPs.
Will be responsible for coordinating and documenting the completion of CWPs.
During execution phase the CWP Coordinator will be responsible for the roll out and implementation of the FIWP initiative for the Project.

Requirements:
The position requires a professional engineer or an individual with technical experience and a strong construction background.
Leadership and communication skills are a pre-requisite as are initiative and positive attitude.
Construction background 10 years and knowledge skills, preferable in the Oil Sand Industry.
