A prominent company is in need of a Drilling Engineer for an onshore project. The description is as follows:
Overview:
Drilling Engineer position in the North America Operations. The successful candidate will begin with extensive exposure to a variety of domestic rig operations. Depending on prior experience, the employee will initially work a rotational schedule and will be challenged to take over rig supervision responsibilities as soon as he/she is ready for the challenge.
Responsibilities:
--Utilizes field operational knowledge and experience to design, plan, coordinate and implement drilling programs
---Works closely the Asset Teams in developing strategies to achieve well construction
--Develops cost estimates and risks vs. rewards analysis
--Optimizes drilling programs by recommending wellbore hydraulics, bit and casing seat selection, mud and cementing programs and procedures to predict/detect abnormal pressures
--Supports the implementation of operational plans
--Develops and implements programs and incentives to enhance performance/commitment
--Recommends and implements changes in procedures.

Qualifications:
Degree: Bachelors Required
Major: Engineering Required, Petroleum Engineering preferred
Work Experience: Knowledge of field operations and a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Drilling Engineer.
Computer Proficiencies: Proficient in standard computer applications. Training will be supplied for job-specific requirements.
