Job Purpose & Scope:
1. Responsible for the overall administration and implementation of Well
Operations Department Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE)
initiatives, programs and procedures.
2. Supports Well Operations in establishing and progressing health,
safety and environmental initiatives, programs and procedures.
3. Ensures that Company HSE policies, procedures, regulations and objectives are effectively implemented.
4. Facilitates the implementation of Well Operations health, safety and environmental initiatives, programs and procedures
5. Fosters continuous improvement of existing safety management systems through sharing of best practices.
6. Responsible for maintaining the Well Operations Safety Management Program Manual.
7. Responsible for Well Operations incident data collection and submission to Well Operations and ZADCO Management.
8. Responsible for coordinating review and report submission for all Well Operations reportable incidents.
9. Coordinates operations integrity management system.
10. Coordinates crew orientations and safety leadership training for new
rig pick-ups as well as refresher training as required.
11. Conducts safety assessments at the rig site to determine the quality and effectiveness of safety management systems.
12. Advises Drilling and Completions Operations on safety, health, and environmental related issues.
13. Assists with incident investigations and preparations of HSE alerts.
Minimum Requirements:
1. Completion of secondary education (12 years) plus computer courses.
2. Degree from Technology College including computer skills.
3. Degree in relevant Engineering discipline such as Petroleum or Mechanical (Desired).
4. Minimum five years experience and knowledge of drilling operations.
5. Minimum three years experience in offshore operations related to drilling, completion and workover activities (Desired).
6. Computing skills including MS Office.
7. Knowledge of Drilling Information Management System (DIMS).
8. Leadership training.
