| Job Description | -Conduct Technical Reviews of Loss Prevention submissions from consultants / contractors.
-Ensure design optimization and correct codes and standards are utilized in the projects.
-Provide Technical Support to Company Operating Sites, Business Units and Support Units.
Principal Accountabilities:
1.Provides support to multi-discipline engineering team in Conceptual Studies, Conceptual / Basic Design / Front End Engineering and Detailed Engineering.
2.Prepares and develops scope of work for Engineering Consultants for all Loss Prevention activities including: fire fighting systems, fire & gas detection and alarm systems, hazardous area classification and Process Safety Management.
3.Conducts technical evaluation for selection of Engineering Consultants.
4.Review the design works of Engineering Consultant’s work and ensures compliance with Zadco requirements, international standards, risk based assessments and engineering norms.
5.Review and approve drawings and technical documents for all Loss Prevention related work.
6.Participates in site surveys of facilities to establish and identify the actual requirements.
7.Maintains Zadco standards and specifications by developing new technical specifications and updating existing ones.
8.Carry out design calculations as a tool for design checks by utilizing hand calculations and computer software.
9.Participates in HAZOP / HAZID / PHA / Layout Review / PHSER, and other HSE related design reviews and audits.
10.Provides sound quality and expert solutions to problems presented by Business Units or support team and meeting target date.
11.Witnesses performance tests and FAT on technical equipment for acceptance or rejection based on Company requirements, specifications and standard.
12.Participates in inspection testing and commissioning of systems as required.
13.Prepare Business Case for Loss Prevention related projects.
14.Provide technical assistance, coordination and liaison with other discipline engineers within the Company on all aspects of engineering / technical matters.
15.Participate in technical audits on Consultant / Engineer / Contractor / Vendor Offices, during pre-qualification and to evaluate their performance during project execution.
16.Participate as Company representative specialist on fire protection systems inspection and performance testing at Vendor’s workshop or at Company sites.
Minimum Requirements:
1.B. Eng / Sc. In relevant Engineering fields (Electrical/ Mechanical/ Chemical).
2.12 years experience in oil or related industry, 7 years of which should be design activities related to Loss Prevention engineering including: fire protection, fire & gas detection and alarm system, fire proofing, fire water networks, gaseous fire suppression systems and Process Safety Management.
3.Excellent knowledge and skill of relevant international codes and standards.
4.Hands on experience in hazard identification, risk based assessments and fire protection design software.
5.Very good knowledge of English.
6.Computer literate.
7.Good communication and interpersonal skills. |
