| Job Description | Principal Accountabilities:
i.OPERATIONAL/ ADMINISTRATION
a.Initiate, review and update Drawing Office Procedures.
b.Review all drafting requests from business and support units. Sets priorities, allocates work assignments to drawing office staff in a multi-discipline setting. Disciplines include process, piping, mechanical, civil, structural, electrical, instrumentation and telecommunication.
c.Ensure that drawing office manpower and skill sets are sufficient to meet projected workload and optimize utilization of the available resources. Initiates requests to hire supplementary manpower and interviews/ recommends suitable candidates.
d.Prepare and manage Drawing Office Annual Operating Budget and for projects handled by the Section.
e.Review and approve the drafting work carried out “in-house” and by external contractors/ consultants, to ensure compliance with ZADCO standards and procedures.
f.Monitor and measure drawing office productivity and evaluates performance and approves man-hours spent by Drawing Office staff.
g.Recommend CAD training programs to upgrade skill levels of staff in AutoCAD and other intelligent add-on Softwares.
h.Provide work directions, guidance and training to UAE National Developees.
i.Explore the advancements in the industry and recommend hardware/software acquisition/ upgrades for improved performance of CAD system.
j.Liaise with external consultants and service suppliers to meet the day to day requirement for drawing office operation, e.g. HW/SW suppliers, contractors, drafting suppliers etc.
k.Produce Management Reports and conduct presentations on the Section’s targets, achievements and future plans, as and when required.
l.Ensure Company HSE Standards are fully complied by Drawing office staff and by contractor’s personnel. Initiates and implements plans to enhance Quality improvement of the Section.
PROJECTS MANAGEMENT (For “As Building”& CADding jobs):
a.Manage and Supervise the activities related to the implementation of assigned projects from inception to completion and ensures that the projects are completed on time, within the budget and to the required quality.
b.Develop project objectives, execution strategy, work breakdown structure, Scope of Works etc.
c.Prepare preliminary man-hour/ cost estimates and implementation schedule for projects handled by EPS.
d.Direct and monitor the implementation of assigned projects including verification of bidder’s lists, preparation of ITT documents, Technical evaluation of bids etc.
e.Monitor and control the financial expenditure throughout the project and reviews proposed changes in order to optimize the cost.
f.Closely supervise and monitor the work of the contractors in liaison with the Project team to ensure that the project proceeds according to the contract and deal with any queries, problems and claims that might arise. Conducts periodic progress review meetings with the
Minimum Requirements:
a.Engineering Degree or equivalent from a recognized college or Technical Institute.
b.Twelve years design drafting experience in oil and gas industry and 5 years in a senior supervisory level, including projects planning and execution.
c.Extensive experience in managing “As Building” and Draughting projects from conception to completion, within the approved cost and time schedule.
d.Ability to organize and plan multi-disciplinary design drafting work, to meet deadlines.
e.In-depth knowledge of the operation of a modern CAD based multi-discipline drawing office.
f.Excellent AutoCAD skills, Word Processing and Spreadsheet capability. A good understanding of AutoCAD enhancement programs e.g. CADWorx, GTX Raster CAD, Multi-steel and SmartPlant Suite of Applications
g.Strong leadership skills, with written, verbal, analytical and interpersonal skills.
h.Good command of English language. |
